Twitter's new owner Elon Musk announced the improvements that will be made to the user interface of the service in the near future as part of the planned large-scale changes to the social network.

Specifically, later this week, Twitter users will be able to swipe left/right between featured and followed tweets.

Next, a week later, a bookmark button will appear in the details of tweets, which will allow you to save the most interesting ones.

Musk also said that in February, Twitter will support "long" tweets. The company's CEO announced his intention to increase the limit on the number of characters in a tweet to 4,000 in December last year. Twitter currently has a 280 character limit per tweet, adopted in 2017. Prior to this, the limit was 140 characters.

What other changes are coming to Twitter, Elon Musk did not disclose. Previously, there was a message about the company's plans to make small changes to the view counter, which users can turn off if they wish.
