AMD will get a new CFO this month.Published: 2023-01-12
AMD will publish its quarterly report only at the end of the month, but now the company is ready to announce an important personnel reshuffle in its leadership. Devinder Kumar, who worked as CFO for a long time, will leave the company in connection with his well-deserved rest, he will be replaced on January 23 by Jean Hu, who has been working as CFO of Marvell Semiconductor since 2016. As noted in the official press release, Devinder Kumar will hand over to his successor until April this year, so the change of leader in the financial direction for AMD will not be sudden. AMD CEO Lisa Su praised her outgoing colleague: “I would like to thank Devinder for his many contributions to AMD. He was an outstanding CFO and partner whose leadership has been critical in creating the financial foundation that has fueled our significant revenue growth and success in recent years.” Kumar has worked in various roles at AMD for nearly four decades. Jin Hu has more than 20 years of financial leadership experience at semiconductor companies like Qlogis and Conexant, and has been CFO of Marvell Semiconductor since 2016. In this company, she will be replaced by Willem Meintjes, who previously acted as Marvell's chief accountant, from January 20. Jin Hu, in turn, received her education in chemistry from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, as well as in economics from Claremont University in California, which specializes in advanced training. |
