Elon Musk, with the help of its companies, is trying to comprehensively develop the transport infrastructure, and The Boring Company, which creates a network of underground tunnels, is no exception. Under Las Vegas, an underground tunnel with a length of just over 2 km is already operating, along which Tesla electric vehicles run. During CES 2023 - from January 5 to 8 - more than 94,000 passengers were moved along it.

The outstanding performance was achieved due to the high concentration of visitors in the CES area. More than a hundred thousand people can visit it in just a few days. The underground track station closest to the Las Vegas Convention Center is located next to the Resorts World hotel and casino, and more than 10,000 Elon Musk customers passed through it during the days of the exhibition in early January, moving through the tunnel in Tesla cars with a driver.

According to The Boring Company, the duration of the trip during this period did not exceed an average of two minutes, and the waiting time for an electric car did not exceed an average of 10 seconds. Last year, the company received permission from the authorities to expand the network of tunnels to a total length of more than 46 km, 51 stops will be provided on the routes. Over time, Tesla will probably want to provide an unmanned mode for driving its cars through the tunnel, since it is easier to do this in such a closed and well-controlled space than on the surface on the streets of a big city. Elon Musk's company spent just over a year and $50 million on the construction of the tunnel already under Las Vegas.
