After laying off half of the staff, Twitter began hiring.
According to slides posted on Twitter by the new owner of the social network Elon Musk, Twitter Inc. started hiring after massive job cuts.
One slide Musk showed during a corporate meeting said, "We're hiring," without giving any details. Musk also did not say when the meeting took place.
According to slides showing Twitter data for mid-November, hate speech on the social network has declined, and there have been fewer reports of someone impersonating another.
The slides show a record high level of new user signups, averaging over 2 million per day during the week ending November 16th. Musk noted that he knows a way to make Twitter have more than 1 billion monthly users in a year and a half.
Musk also promised that Twitter would relaunch a paid Twitter Blue subscription on Friday to verify the authenticity of an account with blue checkmarks.
Earlier, Elon Musk announced that in addition to gray and blue checkmarks, gold ones will appear in the description of Twitter accounts, which will be used to verify the authenticity of company accounts.
