Amazon takes the title of the most valuable brand in the world from Apple.

Apple has lost the title of the most valuable brand in the world in the Brand Finance Global 500 ranking. The market value of the Apple brand dropped 16% from $355.1 billion to $297.5 billion. Amazon, in turn, lost 15% in price. The brand value has decreased from 350.3 to 299.3 billion dollars.


The rest of the top five has not changed compared to last year. Third place is occupied by Google ($281.4 billion), fourth by Microsoft ($191.6 billion), and fifth by Walmart ($113.8 billion). The value of the Samsung Group brand decreased by 7% and amounted to $99.7 billion, Alibaba lost 56% in value - it was valued at $10 billion, Facebook lost 42% of the value. The brand is now valued at $59 billion and WeChat at $50.2 billion, representing a 19% loss in brand value.


At the same time, the value of the Instagram brand grew by 42% and amounted to $47.4 billion according to Brand Finance. And LinkedIn rose by 44% to $15.5 billion. Tesla was also named one of the fastest growing brands (9th place). in the ranking, $66.2 billion or +44%) and BYD (199th place, $10.1 billion or +57%).


The Brand Finance press release also notes that the number of tech companies in the ranking has dropped from 50 to 48 as Twitter and Snapchat dropped out of the list of the most valuable brands.
