Some users of the ChatGPT AI bot reported that OpenAI gave them access to a paid ChatGPT Professional subscription for $42 per month. At the same time, the developers have not yet officially introduced a new option, although they had previously talked about its possible appearance.

Earlier this month, OpenAI announced that it was exploring options for monetizing ChatGPT and intending to launch a paid version of the service on an experimental basis with more features, providing early access to some customers. However, at the moment, the company has not made any announcements about the official launch of paid subscription testing.

According to screenshots provided by early access users, for $42 a month you get faster AI bot speed, the ability to use ChatGPT even during peak times, and “priority access to new features.”

As noted by one of the developers involved in a number of AI projects and published a video demonstrating the work of ChatGPT Professional, the paid service really works faster. In the comments, users express the opinion that for many, the monthly fee of $42 is too high. However, let's not forget that we are talking about testing a new feature, and what the subscription price will be in the end is still difficult to predict.
